From Milan to Los Angeles: Why I Founded FaBene

I'm Antonella: Italian, entrepreneur and always too busy to cook

In September 2023, I moved from Milan to Los Angeles with my family and the decision to build something new.

I am not a chef or a food influencer. I am an entrepreneur and a customer of my own idea: someone who cares about ingredients and flavor but does not want to cook every meal from the beginning.

Why I created FaBene

I saw a gap between two worlds. Convenient frozen food was often disconnected from the quality and taste I wanted. Traditional Italian cooking could be wonderful, but it did not always fit a busy American schedule.

FaBene was created to bring those worlds together: Italian-inspired frozen meals, prepared in Los Angeles and ready when life leaves no time to cook.

Building the company in Los Angeles

Starting again in a new country meant learning visas, licenses, food regulations, production systems, packaging, farmers markets and retail—often in a language I was still learning.

FaBene grew step by step: first through direct customer conversations, then through farmers markets, online orders, organic certification and relationships with retailers and wholesale buyers.

What FaBene represents today

Our range includes lasagna, meatballs, pasta, sauces, pesto, Parmigiana, pizza and Italian-inspired spreads. We maintain a certified Organic Collection and a separate Clean Collection, with gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and plant-based choices identified by product.

The company is not built around an image of perfection. It is built around useful food, transparent information and the belief that convenience can still have identity and standards.

The message behind the brand

I know what it means to arrive home without the energy to cook. FaBene is for the person who wants to open the freezer and still feel that the meal was chosen with care.

Too Busy to Cook? Me Too.

That is not just a slogan. It is the reason FaBene exists.
